One of the most remote and least Asian countries I've visited. My nine-day adventure across Iceland was definitely a blast.
My boyfriend and I aren't drivers, so we were fortunate to find Sarah from France on Couchsurfing to do a proper road trip with us. We booked our 4x4 from Blue Car Rental for around $12000.

Most of the products are imported in Iceland, simple things cost silly amounts. Therefore,
I prepared a 28-kg suitcase filled with food all the way from Hong Kong. It was about $500 HKD, plus a few trips to Bónus (an affordable supermarket) for some fresh supplies.

8-day hardcore camping was a mission.
We stayed in quite a few camp sites around Iceland. All of them provided showers, toilets, and shelters for cooking.
Vik Camping was my favourite. It was busy but very cozy with friendly people.

We came across some extreme backpackers on the way. We met a couple from Belgium, who were hitchhiking through Iceland for 20 days. We bumped into people cycling under extreme weather. Respect!
