It was a 6-day escape to the northern stretch of Palawan. Reaching El Nido wasn't easy at all, we took a flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa, and a 6-hour road trip from there to El Nido. What a mission!
We joined an island-hopping tour going to a few bays for a day. We snorkelled in Shimizu Island & 7 Commando Beach, and kayaked in Secret Lagoon, Small Lagoon and Big Lagoon. No plastic was allowed in these places. The locals really had my respect for having a strong sense of conservation and keeping these places incredibly pristine. I still can't believe how blue the water was!

Palaweño Brewery was the first female-run craft brewery in the Philippines. Glad that we stopped by the bar for a couple of hours before our flight back to Manila.
Their coconut rum is a must-try!

Manila was extremely busy and full of colours. We went to the crowded Quiapo Market before sunset, what we didn't know was it was a church day. I felt blessed to witness mass in Quiapo Church and Manila Cathedral.
